Cardano “Vasil” upgrade may be delayed again

Cardano's "Vasil" upgrade may experience further delays.

Whereas, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, suggested taking things slowly and not rushing to avoid programming errors.

The move comes after some people criticized Input-Output Global (IOG) and Charles Hoskinson for rushing to deploy node 1.35.3 after a bug in node 1.35.2.

Cardano Upgrade Delayed:

Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, shared a series of tweets yesterday expressing his displeasure with critics' reaction that SPOs are speeding up the 1.35.3 node launch.

Hoskinson explained that the code has been extensively tested by IOG developers for several months, including SPOs.

Currently, node 1.35.2 on the test network has been removed, after a node error was detected.

Charles Hoskinson explained that Cardano (ADA) is decentralized.

And that decisions about the network are not solely his responsibility, but the people who run the network ultimately decide when to upgrade.

Currently, Hoskinson is wondering if the community should delay the Vasil upgrade for a few more months to retest the code.

Notably, the delay affected DApp developers and the community who have been waiting for an upgrade for over a year.

Some users have criticized Cardano's slow move and IOG's silence, and are asking the SPO to upgrade to a new version.

Hoskinson responds:

We have not been silent about it.

The whole reason for the 1.35.3 node hang is literally because of the problem on the test network.

 Cardano price dropped by 15%:

The price of Cardano (ADA) is down 15% after the issue with node 1.35.2 on the test network.

The ADA cryptocurrency is currently trading at $0.45.
