Steam rejects cryptocurrencies in its list of payments for this reason

 

The popular video game company Steam has banned all games that include non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and cryptocurrency, and while discussing the controversial decision on Steam, founder and owner Gabi Newell described it in a recent interview with Eurogamer: “He believes there are things” that are illegal. I think Metaverse is bullshit, but my opinion hasn't stopped Meta (formerly Facebook) from spending billions on R&D or start-up investors from paying millions of dollars into any company that says the words “Blockchain” and “Metaverse” in a sentence.

He added:

“It is clear that the gaming industry has been exploring these technologies for a long time.”

“It will be interesting to see if anyone who comes into the industry late has a lot to add.”
